Very enjoyable 6 track Traditional Punk EP. Inspired by and influenced by the likes of The Lurkers and The Ramones, First Wave are a breath of fresh air to the Punk community which is sadly lacking bands that pay homage to past masters of the genre. If you like the old Punk bands of the 70s then you will absolutely love First Wave. This band has a strong love to the genre and are as honest and genuine band that are ever likely to come across.

Here's a nice little review we got from a friendly rocker called GD in Ilkeston... like the pics too! Cheers GD!

[...] Before NGS take the stage [...] there's time for the support band to kick our asses with some old school Punk Rock. First Wave from Leicester are a trio of grizzled Punks who play a mixture of original numbers and covers in a short but attention grabbing set. My favourite song is Rock n' Roll Valhalla which is all about deceased rock stars like Keith Moon and Eddie Cochran. Front man Scundy (what a name) seems to sweat Punk attitude out of every pore of his body and at one point an impressed Ilkeston Punk Rocker throws his Killing Joke T-Shirt on stage for Scundy to keep, I'm not sure he wanted it though. We are treated to a fast and furious version of Neil Young's [Like a] Hurricane the like of which I've never heard before.[...]
